things i've learned today.

1. being 27 doesn't feel any different from being 26. perhaps this will change in a few months, but right now...i feel exactly the same.

2. sometimes it's not so fun when your sister tries to break you out of your shell a little, but resistance is mostly futile. it may not be fun, but it could be that she sees a side of me that i didn't and she's lovingly but unexpectedly pointing that out.

3. new friends are cool and all, but no one loves me like my friends who've been around the block a few times with me. they always make me feel loved and appreciated and easily bring a smile to my face. i'm very thankful for them.

4. my family rocks. i already knew that, but even the older sis surprised me today and that doesn't happen often. it's a wonderful thing when we're all on the same page!

5. i'm so very ready from christmas break if only to have a break from 5 a.m. mornings.
