my brother-in-law works with a guy who happens to have been eating with some of the tech football players the other day. apparently, the team didn't play so well because they all had food poisoning. if you saw or listened to the game, you may remember announcers trying to explain why dwayne slay suddenly disappeared from the game. it seems mr. slay was very ill and spent most of the half in the restroom. now, i know you're probably thinking what a great excuse this is for playing like preteens who are just learning the game of football, but considering that the same situation happened last time we played osu in stillwater...one has to wonder. leach isn't really talking about this because of a similar situation with ut playing at osu. on 2 different occasions the longhorn football team has had food poisoning issues. when coach brown talked about it the first time, everyone accused him of making excuses for his team. if you will remember, osu played texas at home this year. the team had an inexplicably rough first half but rallied in the second half to win the game. perhaps they too were suffering from illness... if you take this into account with past problems we've had in oklahoma with discrepancies in the game clock, time being sheared off without reason, etc, it would seem that osu/osu fans like to win illegitimately. so i propose a name change...the osu cowboys are now the osu yellow-bellied cheaters. this isn't an excuse for the way we played...but honestly...that bunch of red raiders isn't the bunch that has been playing the rest of our season. so i leave this information in your capable hands, reader. judge for yourself. being a tech supporter and a huge fan of big 12 football, i have to question the events surrounding trips to osu especially since it is happening to more than one osu opponent. and so in the well expressed words of hamlet...something is rotten in the state of denmark...or in this case oklahoma.
