it's the bottom of the ninth...and we are down by one. batter #1 hits a pop fly and of course becomes out #1. batter #2 hits one long into right/center field. it drops in just short of the wall...triple play. batter #3 gets a walk. runners on 3rd and 1st. batter #4 gets pegged by a wild inside pitch...he gets to walk. now...bases are loaded...and one out. the crowd is tense with anticipation. one well placed shot and we win the game. enter batter #4. the pitcher fires...and he swings. the result was a beautiful and very long shot into left field...right down the 3rd base line where no one could get to it before damage was done. and that's the game. 15 minutes later...an amazing fireworks display...30 mins later...a mass exodus of 50,000 people from ameriquest field. and the rangers beat the boston red soxs. how sweet it is.
